Suess headed to Iowa?

Have heard recently that Cedar Rapids Washington’s all-state quarterback Wyatt Suess will  end up at the University of Iowa to play football.

Suess rushed for 404 yards and 4 touchdowns this season for an excellent Washington team and threw for 3,163 yards and 24 touchdowns. He threw only five interceptions. His main target the past two seasons, of course, was Keenan Davis, a Hawkeye commitment.

Suess is 6-foot-4 and 215 pounds, which means he might not stay at quarterback if he does indeed head to Iowa. Looking at him in a basketball uniform recently, the kid has some serious guns.

Not sure if he would be a preferred walk-on for the Hawks, though probably, or if they might offer him a late scholarship.

Suess is a Hawkeye legacy. His dad, Phil, was a quarterback at Iowa in the 1970s.

6-4, 215? From what I hear he has good speed as well. Sounds like a wide receiver, maybe a safety if he can’t play quarterback. And he could play QB, just unlikely with Stanzi, Vandenburg and Weinke in front of him. I’m sure he would be a player that wouldn’t mind helping out on special teams for a while too.
